Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of VIN Verdict, including one-time report purchases, subscriptions, account features, and report downloads.

Effective date: April 23, 2026

1. Acceptance of these terms

By accessing or using VIN Verdict, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. What VIN Verdict provides

VIN Verdict is a vehicle risk and history review tool. It accepts a VIN, requests vehicle history data from third-party providers, and presents a simplified verdict and supporting risk information. The service may also provide PDF downloads, saved reports, one-time report access, and subscription-based report usage.

3. Eligibility and account responsibility

You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use the service. If account access is enabled, you are responsible for keeping login credentials, magic links, buyer portal links, and devices secure and for all activity that occurs under your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the service for unlawful, fraudulent, or deceptive conduct;
  • attempt to scrape, reverse engineer, bypass limits, or interfere with checkout, authentication, or report access controls;
  • resell or bulk-republish reports except where we have expressly authorized that use in writing;
  • submit malware, harmful automation, or false identity or billing information; or
  • use the service in a way that could damage VIN Verdict, its providers, or other users.

5. Reports, verdicts, and limitations

VIN Verdict is a decision-support tool, not a guarantee of title status, mechanical condition, ownership history, legal compliance, or future registrability.

Vehicle history providers may return incomplete, delayed, outdated, or inaccurate information. A "Buy," "Caution," or "Walk Away" verdict is an informational summary based on available data and internal rules. It is not legal advice, financial advice, insurance advice, mechanical advice, or a substitute for an in-person inspection, title review, or state-specific registration analysis.

You remain responsible for your purchase decision, due diligence, DMV or title verification, and any follow-up inspections or professional review you choose to obtain.

6. Pricing, billing, and renewals

Pricing displayed on VIN Verdict may include one-time report purchases and recurring monthly subscriptions. Current advertised pricing in the service includes:

  • $12 for a single report purchase;
  • $49 per month for the Solo Flipper plan; and
  • $149 per month for the Dealer Pro plan.

Subscription plans may renew automatically until canceled. Overage pricing and included monthly report counts are governed by the plan shown at checkout and in the app at the time of purchase.

Paddle acts as merchant of record for checkout and recurring billing. Your payment and billing relationship for checkout mechanics, payment processing, tax handling, and billing receipts is also subject to Paddle's Buyer Terms.

7. Cancellations and refunds

You may cancel a subscription before the next renewal using the cancellation tools we provide or the buyer management tools Paddle makes available in your billing emails or receipts.

Because report generation and purchased access can unlock immediately after payment confirmation, fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law, expressly approved by us, or handled by Paddle under its applicable buyer policies. Duplicate charges, failed report delivery caused by our systems, or other clear billing errors may be reviewed individually.

8. Access windows and subscriptions

One-time report purchases currently include a 30-day secure access window for the purchased report. Subscription plans are intended for the subscriber's own use within the active billing cycle and are subject to the report limits, overage pricing, and access rules shown in the service.

9. Intellectual property

VIN Verdict, its interface, branding, scoring presentation, copy, and software are protected by intellectual property laws. You receive a limited, revocable, non-exclusive right to use the service for its intended purpose. These Terms do not transfer ownership of the service or its underlying software, branding, or content.

10. Suspension and termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to VIN Verdict if we reasonably believe you breached these Terms, used the service unlawfully, created payment risk, attempted abuse of report access or usage limits, or posed a security or operational threat to the service.

11. Disclaimer of warranties

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VIN Verdict is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, or uninterrupted operation.

12. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, VIN Verdict and its operators, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities, data loss, or purchase losses arising from use of the service.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for a claim related to the service will not exceed the amount you paid to use VIN Verdict for the specific report or billing period giving rise to the claim.

13. Changes to the service or these terms

We may change, suspend, or discontinue all or part of the service at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time. The updated Terms become effective when posted unless a later date is stated.

14. Privacy

Use of VIN Verdict is also governed by our Privacy Policy.
